HOST
You may have read about HOST in this newsletter before, and not been in a position to help. Could this be the year your Christmas is enlivened by a friendly and grateful guest from China or some other part of the world? HOST is looking for invitations for international students to spend an autumn weekend, or 2 or 3 days over Christmas with hospitable, open-minded people in this area. These students are in their 20ís and 30ís and are studying at universities here in the UK. They would love to learn more about life in this country by spending a little while in private homes as guests. They are very happy to tell you about their culture too. HOSTing is a voluntary activity, which is interesting and worthwhile. If you think you might like to give it a go, please see... www.hostuk.org or call the local volunteer organiser, Trina Golland on... 01707 642091 or trina.golland@virgin.net. Richard Golland
