More 4 U @ St Albans South Extended Schools Consortium A new School year and lots of new faces - welcome to all the new families! Once again this summer holidays we held various fun days at Bowmansgreen, Park Street and St Bernadette. Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Drama, Basketball and Multisports - all very popular as usual and well attended. Look out for October Half term activities coming soon. There is lots coming up this Autumn Term - Family First Aid will be running once again which is very popular; we are going to run a 4 week homework course for parents to bring you up to date with the modern methods of teaching so that you are better able to support your children at home. There are several Parenting courses happening across St Albans - details of which will be on the website. If you do not have access to a computer and/or the internet, please pop into London Colney Library who have computers available there for public use. We have a new Parent and family Support Worker for the Consortium, Hilary Blake and she is available to help and support parents and families with any needs they may have and help to signpost them on to services which may be of use. Friday October 31st is the London Colney Big Draw evening so keep your eyes on the look out for more details soon! This is a Community event where families will be creating a piece of art work to hang in the new London Colney Children's Centre. Mount Pleasant Lane JMI in Bricket Wood has free Computer classes on a Monday morning, term time from 9am to 10am in the ICT suite. Please call if you are interested and to find out more. I am your local ESCO for St Albans South and am contactable by email, on my mobile or through the website. You may see me at various Christmas Fairs and Parents Evenings throughout the area- please approach me and have a chat!
