Hope 2008 is an initiative of the churches of the UK to help demonstrate Christian faith in action and to explain the meaning of that faith in villages, towns and cities throughout the country. Look out for the following special events in our village this year. And donıt think you have to be a churchgoer to come along!
May 24th Saturday 10am-3pm
Free Car Washing St Peterıs Parish Church Car Park, London Colney Riverside. Take the hassle out of Saturdays, and come and have your car washed for free, while you sit back and enjoy free refreshments. This is just part of a commitment made by UK churches to show ŒOne Million Hours of Kindnessı to their communities.
June 29th Sunday 12-5pm
Larks in the Park Morris Way Playing Fields.
Weıll be present with stalls and activities, so come and say hello. August 10th, Sunday 5-6pm
Songs of Praise by the River in front of St Peterıs Parish Church, London Colney Riverside.
Spend the afternoon in the sun, singing hymns old and new.
August (Wednesdays - 6th, 13th and 20th August - from 11.00am to 12.30pm) Summer Parentıs and Toddler group. Alexander Road Church, Alexander Road. The village toddler groups usually have a break over the summer, but this year weıll be joining some groups together for three sessions (pre-school age only) in the summer.

Christian basics course

Activity Week for the Young at Heart (but over 55 years!)
Join us for a week of special events for the active retired. There will be quizzes, trips and a great opportunity to make new friends.
As well as the events above, the churches in London Colney meet regularly, and are great places to explore faith and meet new people. Why not give us a try? Alexander Church, Alexander Road.
Sunday Service: 11a.m­12:15p.m, which includes a childrenıs Sunday school. Every 2nd and 4th Sunday evening, 6­7p.m. A varied programme for believers and those ³just looking².
