More 4 U @ St Albans South Extended Schools Consortium Well done to Rhys Armstrong who won our design-a-logo competition! He has won Borders vouchers and will soon see his design on all our letters! The Consortium held its first Inter-Consortium General Knowledge Quiz competition and 6 Schools took part. Congratulations to the pupils of St Bernadettes who won - it was a very close run thing but they emerged the victors! There are a lot of exciting new projects coming up in the consortium over the next couple of maths. We have a course for parents called Muddle Free Maths which is designed to help YOU to help your children with their maths homework. Face Painting for parents so that you can use your skills to help your PTAs or just for fun with your own children. Butshilo Nleya, an African Drummer will be holding two Family workshops - loud, noisy, but huge fun! We are once again running a Family First Aid course as these are proving very popular. Our Dads, Lads and Lasses sessions are becoming more and more popular as many wives, girlfriends and partners are realising what good value it is to send their men and children out for 2 hours and go shopping in peace! Saturday June 14th at Radlett Lawn Tennis and Squash Club IS the next session, 10-12pm. Dads £3 each kids free! Phone to book your place. Mount Pleasant Lane JMI in Bricket Wood has free Computer classes on a Monday morning, term time from 9am to 10am in the ICT suite. Please call if you are interested and to find out more. Once again this summer holidays we have various fun days at Bowmansgreen, London Colney JMI and St Bernadette. Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Drama, Basketball and Multisports - see website for details and booking forms. I am your local ESCO for St Albans South and am contactable by email, on my mobile or through the website. You may see me at various Christmas Fairs and Parents Evenings throughout the area - please approach me and have a chat!
